History:
Her life has been complicated for years, but Buffy can always rely on her past to get her to her future. Lately her future has been killing vampires, stopping the apocolypse and trying to maintain a normal life. But Buffy was someone before being called as the Slayer. She still is, but with great difficulty. Buffy grew up outside L.A. wanting to be an Olympic Ice Skater just like her idol, Dorothy Hammil. Little did she know her life would be thrown upside down. By 15, Buffy was Fiesta Queen, Prom Princess, very popular and even on the High School pep squad.
Buffy’s first slayer activity were some detailed women from the past fighting off demons. She doesn’t quite understand what was happening, until she was approached by Merrick Jamison Smith, her first Watcher. After a while of learning her skills and fighting vampires, Buffy is kicked out of Henley High for burning down the gymnasium. That minor event was caused by vampires, but Buffy was blamed. She and her mom would move only because her parents were divorced earlier that year. Thus her life in Sunnydale started. Her mom, Joyce, hoped things would be better and that Buffy had just fallen into a bad crowd. Little did she know they were moving to Hellmouth, USA.
Sunnydale High enrolled Buffy and it was hard for her to keep her slayer abilities a secret. Quickly, her new Watcher, Rupert Giles (the school Librarian on paper) introduced himself and offered to each Buffy to control and strengthen her skills. Buffy resisted at first. She later found out how much trouble her town was in, supreme amounts of supernatural activity and lots of vampires. She defended her new friends, Willow and Xander on more than one occasion.
As a high school Sophomore, Buffy hates having homework. She is a very bright girl, but doesn’t go to class often. And her grades show that. Buffy, as the Slayer, has dreams that can tap into the overall spirit of previous slayers, their memories. The Chosen One can also tap into that strength, seeing prophecies about her own future. One prophecy is of Buffy’s fall, that she would face the Master vampire and die. If the Master were to rise, the Hellmouth would then open and be followed by the destruction of the world. Buffy makes close friends with Willow and Xander, always finding each other in the Library to solve one form of evil or another. Angel, a mysterious nightwalker warns Buffy many times about any Big Bad that may happen. Especially about having to face the Master. Buffy becomes interested in this mysterious Angel, learning to trust him.
Buffy tries to keep a normal life in High School, but she and her friends are swarmed by evil often. They become an ecclectic group of Internet surfing, doughnut eating, demon hunting Scooby Gang. Buffy easily keeps slaying vampires, growing closer to her friends and Watcher. With Buffy’s fate sealed, and the Master prophecied to rise at Buffy’s fall, she still goes to face him. Buffy did consider leaving town, but she made peace with her fate and met the Master in her formal dress and the black leather jacket Angel had given her. He Master killed her, leaving her floating in a pond where she drowned. Xander and Angel find her, resuscitating her to live again.
With Buffy’s, momentary and nonpermanent, technical death, the next Slayer was called- Kendra. Buffy rises and goes to defeat the Master. Buffy leaves town after stopping Hell from opening, she goes to spend the summer with her dad, repressing her emotions about dying and being the Slayer. When Buffy returns to Sunnydale for school in the fall, she’s dressed up on the outside and frozen on the outside. She doesn’t know how to deal with emotions very well, taking her frustration out on the local bad Vampires.
Unhelpful in taming her emotions, Buffy becomes a loose canon on patrol. And her nightmares come back to life, The Master was almost resurrected. Buffy’s only solace is stopping the Vampires and crushing his bones, stopping him from ever coming back. Buffy finds another place to release her inner emotions, and she grows close to Angel. She falls in love with him, the Vampire cursed with a soul. He doesn’t pose much of a threat and alliances himself with Buffy and the “Scooby Gang.”
On Buffy’s seventeenth birthday, she looses her virginity to Angel. His one moment of pure happiness with Buffy releases his soul, bringing the Vampiric nature to life. Angelus makes Buffy’s life Hell. He even murdered Ms. Calendar, Gile’s love and the Techno-Pagan computer teacher at Sunnydale High. She must find the strength to defend her friends, defeat demons and kill her blood boiling love for the man he was. Angelus tries to open a gate to Hell and the only way to seal it is to send him there. But a spell Willow tries to return Angel’s soul works at the last minute. Buffy knows this and still has to send Angel into Hell, saying “I love you.” And sending him to the Hell dimension.
Tramautized by these events, Buffy left Sunnydale and all of her friends, even her mom. Kendra was killed before she left, summoning the next Slayer: Faith. Buffy returns to Sunnydale, knowing things had changed. She was still grieving and had left her friends and family. Trust was frail. She also wasn’t allowed to go to school. Senior year started and Buffy sat on the sidelines, trying to get back in.
Buffy gets back into school of course, focusing her time on slaying still. One night, Buffy returns to the mansion where Hell was almost opened, where Angel went into Hell. Heartbroken and sad, Buffy made a little offering. She laid a ring he’d given her on the ground. While chasing a rabid killer in the woods, Buffy sees a monster. That monster was Angel. Time passes a lot faster in the Hell dimensions, hundreds of years passed while Angel was in Hell and he was a rabid animal. Buffy took the snarly Angel back to that solitary Mansion and made sure he was safely locked with shackles. With Angel in town, healing, Buffy kept it a secret.
One night, Buffy was out with friends and spotted a Vampire. She followed and had to slay. Turned out the prey the vampire had was really a ploy for him. The prey was really Faith, another slayer. Faith slayed with Buffy. Faith was volatile and ready for action, Buffy like to think more when it came to slaying. Faith tampered in the dark side of the law, Want, Take Have. The Dark Forces in town were on the right side of the law for the most part even. The Mayor was the next Big Bad. And with trouble brewing, the Scooby Gang had to focus on trying to Graduate and picking the next step after High School. Buffy even got to train with Angel, helping him recover. She still loved him, and it hurt keeping him a secret. It hurt her even more to not be with him. The Angel secret was leaked when Xander followed her one night and found them. To keep him safe, Buffy knew they couldn’t be together. Buffy trusted Faith some of the time, patrolling was fun for Faith while Buffy tried to always keep her cool. They dealt with the violence differently.
Faith became very jealous of Buffy’s life. Her perfect life. Buffy was a target that had to be illiminated, or at least shattered. After accidently killing a human, Faith and Buffy chose their sides. Buffy chose the right. Angel pretended to be evil again in order to help pin Faith to the bad and separate her from the pack. Turned out Faith had been working for the Evil Mayor. Problems came up, and Angel and Buffy needed to fight certain death. Faith had poisoned Angel, and the only antidote was the blood of a slayer. Buffy ent after Faith and killed her, planning on saving Angel. A life for a life. Faith, even in her last act, escaped and ended up in coma. Buffy went to Angel and made him drink from him. She loved him and would not let him die. She recovered slightly, and had to focus on the next problem.
With Graduation coming up, Buffy and the gang needed to find a way to win.
Buffy had an intense plan, and Graduation started. The Mayor was key speaker. In the middle of the ceremony, he turned into a Hell sized Demon snake. The Ascension. Buffy and the other graduates were ready, with weapons and fire torches. The Scooby Gang won with little to no casualties among the graduates. Buffy even got to see Angel after the fight. From a distance, he walked away and out of her life. To give them both a chance at a happy life at least. Buffy was devasted, but looking forward to starting college. As classes started and Giles was unemployed, Buffy kept regular patrol, killing vampires and bickering with the peroxide loving Vampire Spike.
Somehow, a secret military group snatched the blonde vampire and implanted a chip, rendering him harmless to humans. Buffy decided not to kill him and to look into the military operation. They were snatching demons and creatures and doing experiments. One man apart of The Initiative was Riley Fin, an assistant in her psych class. Already familiar, Riley and Buffy started dating. They fought evil and tried having a normal relationship. Buffy was ever the focus of being killed by the forces of evil, since she was the Slayer. After a huge fight with a computer zombie, Adam, the Initiative broke up and was destroyed. Riley and Buffy took this as a good sign to be together without conflict.
Buffy loved being with Riley, but she didn’t love him. She thought she did, but everyone and even Riley noticed things weren’t perfect. He loved her though, and wanted her to need him. Sweet as it was, Riley was human. Buffy met Dracula, being hypnotized enough and he bit her. Buffy also met her younger sister, Dawn. It’s later that she learnt Dawn isn’t really her sister, but memories and pictures and Dawn herself were created for fight the Big Bad forces. Dawn is called the Key, the key to what? Buffy only knows it’s to unlock something Big and Bad. The one searching for the Key is a powerful being calling herself Glory. Buffy, Giles and later Joyce Summers are the only three to know that Dawn isn’t really original. Buffy is a great older sister, though she was designed and well adjusted to being an only child.
Dawn and Buffy were really getting along before Buffy was pulled to Econtra. One thing that really brought the sisters together was the fear of loosing their mom, Joyce. Joyce hadn’t been feeling well and tests were inconclusive. One biopsy lead to finding a tumor. A dangerous and possibly deadly tumor. Joyce went into surgery and had it removed and was ready to recover. But before that even, Buffy and Riley were having problems still. Spike showed Buffy a local vampire coven that were whoring their nibbles to humans. One of those inside were Riley. He’d been missing a spark from Buffy and needed to find that awful passion from a vampire. Buffy and Riley fought of course, and before Buffy could make the right choice and let this man into her life wholey, he left. He left and joined another secret military mission. Buffy relied on her friends, Tara, Xander, Willow, Giles, her mom and Dawn to help her through.
And then Buffy was pulled to Econtra, where she is confused and rather angry.
